Yesterday was the last BoE meeting before the election. It was an important occasion – the formal appointment of Dr. Nicholas DeStefano as our new permanent district superintendent. And yet, that’s probably not going to be what those who attended or streamed the meeting will remember.

We need to address our long-term stability in two ways. The first is to improve communication, something that has come up repeatedly in other contexts. The second is to work on creating a long-term vision, and to do the necessary work of ensuring that we are maximizing opportunities for revenue.
